Baruch Berliner Invites You to a GENESIS Project Event in Berlin

Dear Berliners,
My name is Baruch Berliner, and I’m excited to present the GENESIS project, which brings together people of diverse cultures, religious beliefs, and worldviews through music and art.

The story of Creation is familiar to billions of people around the world. It reminds us that we are all part of one world and that we have a shared responsibility toward each other. This theme resonates deeply with me.

My parents were forced to flee Berlin in 1937, and I did not return to the city until 1955. My time in Berlin left a lasting mark on my life. For me, the city embodies both a remembrance of the past and a symbol of new beginnings, dialogue, and hope.

I believe that music has the power to bring people together in ways that words alone cannot. It encourages us to listen to one another, to see each other as partners and friends. That is why the GENESIS project is especially close to my heart. It creates an opportunity for young people to create together, connect with one another, and build bridges between communities, cultures, and faiths.

I extend my deepest gratitude to the Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner; the event organizer, the Jewish community Kahal Adass Jisroel; German Moyzhes; the entire GENESIS team and producer Nachum Slutzker for their dedication, commitment, and support of this project. I am also grateful to all organizations, partners, friends, and sponsors who have supported our project. With your support, this vision is coming to life.

I invite you to take part in the journey of the GENESIS project —as musicians, artists, audiences, or friends. May art bring us closer to one another, fostering understanding and helping us create a kinder and more peaceful world.
