El Maleh Rachamim: A New Video of the Vocal Arrangement
A new video of the vocal version of “El Maleh Rachamim” (Merciful Lord), has been released. The piece, composed by Baruch Berliner, Nachum Slutzker, and the late Sergei Krutsenko for the Holocaust memorial project www.elmalehrachamim.com, was performed by the Russian singer Anastasia Kulagina.
Ms. Kulagina, the founder of Bear Mother’s Vocal Studio and a faculty member at the Rachmaninov College of Music, actively participates in musical projects and concert programs.
“El Maleh Rachamim” is the soundtrack to the movie Address on the Wall, which narrates the story of the World War II tragedy at Babi Yar.
