Former Vocalist of Legendary Band OOMPH!, confessed Christian since 2020 takes part in the recordings of Genesis Symphonic Poem
In June, Dero Goi, former vocalist of the legendary German band OOMPH!, contributed as narrator to the German-language version of Baruch Berliner’s symphonic poem Genesis.
Genesis is a seven-part cosmogony based on Old Testament texts, with each movement portraying a biblical episode:
• The Creation of the World;
• Adam and Eve;
• The Expulsion from Paradise;
• Cain and Abel;
• Noah;
• The Flood;
• The Token of the Covenant.
A German musician, poet, and author, Dero Goi best known as the former frontman and vocalist of the renowned band OOMPH!, formed in 1989 in Wolfsburg, West Germany, the band became a pioneer and leading force of Neue Deutsche Härte—a subgenre of industrial metal. OOMPH! had a significant influence on Rammstein, who have frequently cited the band as a key inspiration for developing their own musical style.
Currently, Dero Goi is focused on his solo project. He has released the album «1984» and regularly performs live.
