Jacob’s Dream Set for Croatian Tour
On April 1, 2, 3, and 6, Merited Artist of Russia Boris Andrianov, percussionist Luis Camacho Montealegre, and the Zagreb Soloists string orchestra will present Baruch Berliner’s concerto for cello and string orchestra, Jacob’s Dream, as part of their Croatian tour.
Mr. Andrianov is a distinguished Russian cellist who performs on the world’s premier stages and takes part in prestigious festivals. The geographical scope of his triumphs at international competitions includes Zagreb (Antonio Janigro Competition), Johannesburg, Hanover (Classica Nova In Memoriam Dmitri Shostakovich, in a duet with Alexey Goribol), Paris (Mstislav Rostropovich Competition), and South Korea (Isangyun Competition). He is also a laureate of the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Triumph youth award.
Founded in 1953, the Zagreb Soloists orchestra embodies excellence and the rich traditions of chamber music. Over the seven decades, the ensemble has graced the world’s most renowned concert venues, from Carnegie Hall to the Musikverein, captivating audiences with their exceptional technique and flawless synergy. Their extensive repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, with a focus on works by Croatian composers.
The young yet already accomplished percussionist Luis Camacho Montealegre will join Mr. Andrianov and the Zagreb Soloists for the concerts. This gifted musician, honored with numerous international awards, will undoubtedly elevate the evening’s program with his virtuosity and inventive approach.
