Legendary German Rock Musician Dero Goi (ex-OOMPH!) Participates in Recording New Section of Genesis Symphonic Poem
The second recording session for the German-language version of Genesis — a symphonic poem by renowned Israeli composer Baruch Berliner—took place on November 9. The session featured former vocalist of the legendary German band OOMPH!, Dero Goi, as narrator.

Genesis is a seven-movement symphonic cosmogony inspired by Old Testament texts. Each of its seven parts narrates an episode described in the Scripture:
• The Creation of the World
• Adam and Eve
• The Expulsion from Paradise
• Cain and Abel
• Noah
• The Flood
• The Token of the Covenant
Specifically for Mr. Goi, Dr. Berliner composed and added a new movement, titled Crime and Punishment, which was inspired by the story of Eve’s temptation by the Serpent.
A German musician, poet, and author, Mr. Goi best known as the former drummer and vocalist of the renowned band OOMPH! Formed in 1989 in Wolfsburg, West Germany, the band became a pioneer and leading force of Neue Deutsche Härte—a subgenre of industrial metal. OOMPH! had a significant influence on Rammstein, who have frequently cited the band as a key inspiration for developing their own musical style.
Currently, Mr. Goi is focused on his solo project, Dero Goi. He has released the album 1984 and regularly performs live.
