New version of “El Maleh Rachamim”: arranged for classical guitar

The new rendition of “El Maleh Rachamim,” now arranged for classical guitar, was performed by the arranger himself, Ronnen Nissan, an Austrian guitarist, composer, and conductor.
“El Maleh Rachamim” is featured in the movie Address on the Wall, which portrays the WWII tragedy of Babi Yar. The namesake project commemorating Holocaust victims invites soloists, conductors, and orchestras to perform their interpretations of the composition.

Ronen Nissan is a conductor, arranger, and guitarist whose vast repertoire ranges from symphonic and sacred music to cinematic music and even tango projects. For 15 years, he served as Music Director for the St. Stephan Choir and Chamber Orchestra in Tulln, Austria. Mr Nissan conducted the choir at Vienna’s main synagogue and worked as an Assistant with Neue Oper Wien and Vienna Opera Theater. The arranger and guitarist of the Vienna Tango Quintet, he has performed with the group in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Poland, Turkey, and Israel.
