On November 17, a symphonic rock show “GENESIS ROCK SHOW” will be performed in Kostroma!
The show is based on the Symphonic Poem “GENESIS” by the famous Israeli composer, scientist and philosopher Baruch Berliner and producer Nachum Slutzker – a seven-part cosmogony on the texts of the Old Testament, which tells about the stages of divine providence and world order, reflecting the central events of the first chapters of the book of Genesis.
The Symphonic Poem has already been performed in 31 countries around the world, and the composer’s works are performed by such famous musicians and conductors as conductor Mikhail Kirchhoff, who was at the origins of the creation of the Poem, Grammy-nominated cellist and conductor Dmitry Yablonsky, virtuoso violinists Graf Murzha and Haik Kazazyan, brilliant cellists Boris Andrianov and Emil Rovner and many others.
GENESIS ROCK SHOW is a development of the ideas of Baruch Berliner and Nachum Slutzker, a new reading of the well-known biblical story. These are the best fragments of the classical and symphonic rock version of “Genesis” by Baruch Berliner and the songs of Eugeniy Atsapkin, woven into a single fabric.
The work, as well as the classical version, describes the events of the first chapters of the Old Testament:
— The Creation of the world;
— Adam and Eve;
— The Expulsion from Paradise;
— Cain and Abel;
— Noah;
— The Flood;
— The Token of Covenant.
GENESIS ROCK SHOW will be accompanied by a rock band, the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra, vocalists, actors and original video art created by Israeli video artist Yaron Shin, also known under the pseudonym “Jewboy”.
