Premiere of the Third Part of The Binding of Isaac Symphonic Poem in a Version for Violin, Tenor, and Bass
On November 7, the third part of Baruch Berliner’s symphonic poem “The Binding of Isaac,” arranged for violin, tenor, and bass, premiered at the House of Music of Pavel Gershtein’s Kostroma Governorate Symphony Orchestra.
The performance featured:
- Daniil Kogan (violin), third-prize winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition, Assistant Professor at the Chamber Ensemble and String Quartet Department of the Moscow Conservatory;
- Georgy Faradzhev (tenor), Soloist at the Novaya Opera Theater, laureate of the Giovanni Martinelli–Aureliano Pertile International Opera Singing Competition (third prize, Italy, 2016);
- Pavel Gershtein (conductor and bass), Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Kostroma Governorate Symphony Orchestra;
- the Kostroma Governorate Symphony Orchestra.
