The Fourth Concert of the VIVACELLO Festival
Yesterday, the fourth concert of the VIVACELLO Festival took place in the Zaryadye Concert Hall. Boris Andrianov and the Questa Musica ensemble, conducted by Philipp Chizhevsky, performed for the guests of the evening the works of composers from different eras, connected with biblical images.
The concert opened with Joseph Haydn’s “The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross” in the version for cello and strings by Vladimir Tonkha. In the second part of the concert, Boris Andrianov performed solo the concerto for cello and orchestra “Jacob’s Dream” by the Israeli composer Baruch Berliner.
