Video Release: Part I of Jacob’s Dream Symphonic Poem

A video of the first movement of Jacob’s Dream symphonic poem has been released on composer Baruch Berliner’s YouTube channel under the title “A Love Song for Ruhama.”

Jacob’s Dream is a symphonic poem inspired by the biblical story of Jacob, who saw in a dream a ladder reaching to the heavens and beheld the Lord Himself promising blessings to him and his descendants.

Berliner’s work was performed by the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva chamber orchestra under the direction of Grammy-nominated conductor and cellist Dmitry Yablonsky.

Baruch Berliner himself appeared as the narrator.
