World premiere of Fantasia concertante №2 for piano and orchestra
On June 7, pianist Miroslav Kultyshev and the Kaliningrad Symphonic Orchestra (@club26231813), conducted by Mikhail Kirchhoff, will perform for the very first time the Fantiasia Concertante №2 for piano and orchestra by composer Baruch Berliner and producer Nachum Slutzker. The piece was crafted in collaboration with successful composer and arranger Eugene Levitas.
Miroslav Kultyshev graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where he completed his doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Aleksandr Sandler, a merited artist of Russia. Since 2012, Mr. Kultyshev has been teaching at the St Petersburg Conservatory’s Department of Solo Piano Performance, earning the title of Associate Professor in 2020.
A winner of prestigious awards, he has excelled in various international music competitions, such as The 13th Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, Russia), the Monte Carlo Piano Masters International Сompetition, and The 2nd Classic Piano Competition (Dubai, UAE).
Mr. Kultyshev has performed in the most notable venues throughout Russia and the world, from Musikverein in Vienna, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Сoncertgebow in Amsterdam to the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
