Recording of choral parts for the projects “Genesis Rock Show” and “El Maleh Rachamim” took place in Moscow.

At the Moscow Academy of Choral Art named after V.S. Popov, the recording of choral parts for the projects “Genesis Rock Show” and “El Maleh Rachamim” of the international company Baruch Berliner’s Genesis International Project took place with the participation of the Moscow choral ensemble of sacred music “Blagovest”.

The Moscow ensemble of sacred music “Blagovest” was created in 1987 by Honored Artist of Russia Galina Koltsova, who is still the artistic director of the ensemble.
Since 1992, the ensemble has become a state team under the Moscow Department of Culture.
The ensemble is engaged in concert activities in Russia and abroad, performs with leading orchestras of Russia, including the Russian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Veronika Dudarova, the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev, and the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet, the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Pletnev, the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra conducted by Sergey Skripka and many others.

“Genesis Rock Show” is a joint project of composer Baruch Berliner, producer Nachum Slutzker, as well as composer and lyricist Eugeniy Atsapkin. This is a symphonic rock poem based on the texts of the Old Testament about the essence of freedom of choice, which is the result of the struggle between good and evil, inherent in man by God.
“El Maleh Rachamim” is a project dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and a composition of the same name written by Baruch Berliner, Nachum Slutzker and Sergey Krutsenko (RIP). As part of this project, various orchestras, performers and even choreographic groups perform their versions of the composition, paying tribute to the memory of those who were killed during the tragic events of World War II.

The choral ensemble of sacred music “Blagovest” conducted by Denis Anzigitov recorded a new choral version of this work for the project “El Maleh Rachamim”.

The premiere of this recording and video clip will take place soon on our website, the website of the “El Maleh Rachamim” project and Baruch Berliner’s YouTube channel.
